To configure bitmap caching
-
In the Remote Desktop Connection window, click Options.
- On the Experience tab, verify that the Bitmap caching check box is selected. Or, to disable bitmap caching, clear the Bitmap caching check box.
- Click Connect.
Notes
- To open Remote Desktop Connection, click Start, point to Programs or All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.
- Bitmap caching can speed up your connection by storing frequently used images on your local hard disk. By default, bitmap caching is enabled for Remote Desktop connections. It is recommended that you use bitmap caching unless instructed otherwise by your network administrator.
- When you click Connect, the information you enter in Options becomes the default setting for all Remote Desktop connections and is saved in a file called Default.rdp.
